# Select hardware from list

## Problem:

Suppose you have a list of devices in Excel or a similar program that you would like to choose in XEOX. This selection may be used, for instance, to create a job or modify a hardware field via Multiedit (e.g., order number).

## Solution:

Create a list of hostnames separated by spaces or newlines in a text editor:

Copy it into XEOX under **Hardware - Filter**:

This is not only possible for hostname but for any field in the hardware.
